KOKORO

CONTENT-LED
PLATFORM REDESIGN

Overview

KOKORO is a fast-food chain operating across the UK. Its existing website had a complex content structure and was difficult to maintain, leading to ongoing challenges in day-to-day management.

In particular, updating content was cumbersome and unintuitive, making it difficult to reflect changes in a timely manner. This project aimed to address these issues by creating a website that delivers a consistent brand experience while improving content management efficiency.

To achieve this, the site was rebuilt using a Webflow CMS, alongside a complete redesign of both its visual and operational structure.

Defining the problem

Approach
In the initial phase, we focused on gaining a clear understanding of the existing website’s structure and operational workflows. This involved reviewing content update processes and page architecture, as well as conducting client interviews to identify key pain points in day-to-day management.

The findings highlighted several core issues, including inefficient content editing processes, inconsistent layouts and components, and an information architecture that lacked scalability.

Based on these insights, we defined a direction that prioritised structural improvements to support more efficient content operations, rather than a purely visual redesign.

Driving efficiency and growth

Impact
Following the redesign, KOKORO’s website saw a significant improvement in how content is managed. The streamlined update process enables content to be published more quickly and flexibly, while reducing the overall operational burden.

The introduction of a consistent design system has strengthened the brand experience across all pages, and the new structure makes it easier to expand the site with additional content in the future.

As a result, the website now functions as a scalable platform that can support the brand’s ongoing growth.More importantly, the platform provides a foundation for Homebound to grow its reach and continue supporting refugees and asylum seekers as they rebuild their lives.
